We provide complete HVAC system installation. We can design and install
a completely new system, or replace an existing system. Here are some
of the steps we take to ensure a long lasting, efficient, quiet, comfortable system.
- Load calculations are performed to correctly determine the size and capacity
of both the furnace and the air conditioner.
- The equipment type and efficiency are chosen based on the customers’
needs and desires.
- Duct sizing calculations are performed to determine the proper size duct
and grille to each room/zone of the home.
- A mechanical plan is prepared showing the preliminary equipment locations,
duct routing, duct sizing, grille locations, grille sizes, thermostat
locations.
- The plans can then be reviewed and approved, or changes can be made by
the homeowner. When a final system design is determined, the installation
can begin.
- The installation begins by carefully laying out drop-clothes and protective
plastic as needed throughout the home to ensure your home stays perfectly clean.
- The grilles are carefully “cut-in” to the walls, floors, or ceilings.
- The furnace and cooling are installed in the attic, closet, crawlspace,
and basement.
- Ducting is connected between the furnace locations and each individual
supply outlet register and return intake grille.
- The ducting is then sealed per current C.E.C. guidelines, insulated per
code, and strapped in position.
- A preliminary pressure test can then be performed on the duct system and
air moving components.
- After the extremely low air leakage figure is verified, an independent
HERS rater can be called in to perform a second test. The required “Low
Leakage” figure is verified and documented, and turned over to the
Building and Safety office within your jurisdiction.
